Jeff received his BA in English from Westmont College, his M.Div. from Western Seminary in Portland, and his D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary.  He is an avid poetry fan and maintains a poetry blog at  He has been married to Susan for 35 years, and together they have three grown children.  Scrabble, trail blazing, and chocolate chip cookies are among his signature delights.

Louise and her husband, Craig, have three adult children: Abby, Rebecca and Timothy. She loves the way the Highland community worships, learns and serves together and enjoys her role in the church office. Louise also likes to write, hike, read a wide variety of books, and watch her kids do the things they love to do.

Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and her two children, Kyle and Emilie.  She has lived in the Seattle area her entire life, and enjoys going to musicals, sporting events, swimming/snorkeling and Disney vacations.   She is excited to serve the children and their families in the Highland community.

Tony finds joy in creating music and working with a such diverse group of personalities on the worship team. He also plays piano for local retirement homes. He enjoys spending time with friends and family over coffee, and listening to Coldplay, Whiteheart, and Rush.

Carol Lider
Community Nurse

Carol graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and has experience in Cardiac, Neonatal and Home Health Care. She believes strongly in the connection between faith and health enjoys to exploring that with others. She has been married to Kirk for 30 years and they have three grown, married sons. Her hobbies include reading, skiing, hiking, cooking, traveling and being with family and friends.

Dave Shelton

Dave Shelton and his wife Patty have three adult children: LeeAnne, Alyssa and Dane. He loves the people at Highland and their commitment to Jesus Christ, evidenced not only in service to each other, but to community near and far. Dave enjoys football and baseball, reading, music, fishing and traveling.
